Oilers Now Dallas Trip
Nestled in the heart of the Lone Star State, Dallas, Texas, is a city that beckons with its rich history, vibrant culture, and unmistakable Texan charm.
The Oilers Now road trip descended into the city loaded with optimism. We boarded our private shuttle leaving the airport heading towards downtown looking out at towering skyscrapers that juxtapose with elegant historic buildings, creating a captivating skyline that is synonymous with the city.
Our group gathered together on the first night to meet Oilers Now host Bob Stauffer for a Texas sized reception! With food and drinks starting to come out, Bob introduced his specials guests he brought to meet the Oilers Now group.... All we can say is WOW!
The event wrapped up and many headed out to other venues in Dallas. Of course, no trip to Dallas would be complete without indulging in some authentic Texan cuisine, and the city offers a smorgasbord of culinary delights to satisfy every palate. From mouthwatering barbecue joints to trendy farm-to-table eateries, Dallas's dining scene is as diverse as it is delicious.
The excitement was on during game day. With a 8:30pm local start time, the group had lots of time to explore different sights around Dallas. Many found themselves at the Sixth Floor Museum to learn more about the JFK assassination or with a cocktail hanging around the hotel pool and soaking in the warm Dallas sun. Most of the group headed to the American Airlines Center around 7:00pm. Unfortunately for the group, the Oilers played one of their worst games of the year, loosing to the Stars 5-0.
A few days later, most of the group were in for the second sporting experience of the trip! a VIP tour of AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys and an MLB game that night between the World Series Champs Texas Rangers vs the Houson Astros.
If you've never been to AT&T stadium, this is your chance to add it to your stadium bucket list. The stadium is widely referred to as Jerry's World and The Death Star after Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who originally envisioned it as a large entertainment venue. The stadium seats 80,000 people, but can be reconfigured to hold around 100,000 seats making it the largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity.
The group had the chance to visit all the VIP areas of the stadium inlcuding the Cowboys locker room, Jerry Jone's suite, hospitatly areas and the famed Dallas Cowboys store!
After the tour the group headed just a few blocks over to Texas Live to grab a quick bite to eat and check out the entertainment district.
